The Coziest Restaurants in the DMV

The Coziest Restaurants in the DMV

Winter is wrapping up, so it’s your last chance to take advantage of the coziest restaurants in the D.C., Maryland, Virginia area before al fresco dining season starts. We are an insurance agency full of foodies! We love to eat and share the places we frequent. Here are some of our recommendations for restaurants sure to warm you up, from Gaithersburg to Arlington:

Dogfish Head Alehouse, Gaithersburg, MD

This restaurant/brewery has a homey feel thanks to the wooden and rustic decor. They also have an outdoor seating area with a clear tent and heat lamps for the winter months. A comfort food-filled menu and a large selection of beers are sure to warm your belly and heart, so make sure to check it out!

Clyde’s Tower Oaks Lodge, Rockville, MD

Designed to “have the look and feel of the log and stone ‘great camps’ of the Adirondack Mountains”, this restaurant makes you feel right at home! The menu is diverse so you can’t go wrong, and the scenery is beautiful even in the winter.

Barcelona, Washington, D.C. (14th Street)

No, you don’t actually have to go to Barcelona for a delicious Spanish meal! Not only does this restaurant have all the spicy, warming foods your heart desires, but they also provide blankets and have heat lamps and a fireplace! How cozy is that? Get yourself a glass of wine, you’ll forget it’s even winter!

Pupatella, Arlington, VA

It doesn’t get much warmer than pizza from an oven built in Naples from the ashes of Vesuvius volcano! This Italian restaurant promises the most authentic Neopolitan pizza around in a cozy setting.

We’re looking forward to warmer weather just as much as anyone, but you might as well take advantage of what we think are the coziest restaurants before then. If you try out any of these places before warm weather hits, be sure to let us know!
