Culture Tours

Culture so good, we had to start giving tours.

We've spent 20+ years building a workplace people don't want to leave. Then we got accredited to show other companies how we did it.

What you'll experience

A structured walkthrough of the practices that earned the awards.

About 90 minutes on the calendar. A morning that's both genuinely useful and SHRM-creditable. We've designed every minute of it for HR leaders.

Who should attend

  • People-first HR leaders who want their teams to feel the difference every day. Not just in benefits enrollment. In how the company actually shows up for people. This is for the leader who knows culture is a strategy, not a perk.
  • Leaders who are done with one-size-fits-all benefits and ready to build something that sticks. We partner with people who want their benefits to reflect who they are, attract the talent they want, and keep their best people growing.

What to expect

  • Hear the story behind our internal benefits program. Most companies design their benefits last. We designed ours first, then built the rest of the company around them. We'll walk you through what that looked like, including the parts we got wrong and what we changed.
  • A clear strategy that bridges your benefits and your culture. Plus our proprietary AI-ready Employer Culture Guide, a working framework your leadership team can actually implement, not just file away.
  • A framework for turning employee feedback into benefit upgrades your team will actually notice. Not corporate checkboxes. A system for making changes that matter, built around what your people are telling you.
  • SHRM continuing education credits and a peer group facing the same decisions. The program is accredited, your attendance is logged, and the conversations after the tour are often the best part. Tours stay small by design.

No pitch deck. No sales meeting. If we work together later, it's because you decided you wanted to.

Your host

Tours are led by Josh Lavine.

Josh founded Capitol Benefits in 2007 and has spent the last two decades building the kind of workplace that ended up on award lists. He's a regular keynote speaker on workplace culture and has been featured in Inc., the Washington Business Journal, and Investopedia.

He'll lead the tour personally, answering your specific questions, sharing what worked and what didn't, and giving you the kind of unfiltered look that only comes from someone who actually built the thing.

What past attendees say

"

I came in skeptical that an insurance broker would have anything to teach me about culture. I left with three things I implemented the following week.
