How we work

What a commercial advisor should actually do.

Your advisor

A named human, not a 1-800 number.

You get one advisor who learns your operation, knows your team, and remembers what happened at the last renewal. Same person at year five as at year one.

Proactive reviews

We call before renewal, not after a problem.

Annual proactive reviews. Quarterly check-ins for fast-growth clients. If you opened a new location, hired your fiftieth employee, or signed a major contract, we want to know before your policy does.

Carrier breadth

Independent access to diverse markets.

We're not tied to one carrier's appetite. Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Hartford, Cincinnati, Chubb, and dozens of other standard and specialty markets, we shop where your risk profile actually fits.

One roof

Commercial, benefits, and personal - coordinated.

Your business coverage, your team's benefits, and your personal insurance can all live under one advisory relationship. No more retelling your story to three different people.

Growing Fast?

Your business grows. Your coverage should keep up.

A broker who just renews your policy is fine, right up until it isn't. When you add a location, a truck, or fifteen employees and nobody updates your coverage. When a renewal comes back 22% higher with no explanation. When a claim lands and you need someone who already knows your operation. That's when a renew-and-forget broker costs you.

You need a named advisor who learns how your business actually runs, anticipates the risks before they find you, and makes sure your coverage evolves as fast as you do. We're independently owned, so your account team doesn't get shuffled after the next private-equity acquisition. The same advisor stays with you as you grow.

Frederick, Maryland

Frederick runs on biomanufacturing and on a Main Street.

Fort Detrick is the largest employer in Frederick County, roughly 7,800 military, federal, and contractor personnel across a 1,200 acre campus, and it hosts four cabinet departments at once: Defense, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, and Homeland Security. Its tenants include USAMRIID, the National Cancer Institute's Frederick campus, the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, and the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center. Around that installation has grown one of Maryland's real biomanufacturing clusters, and around that sits a historic downtown of independent restaurants, retail, and professional offices.

Those are two very different insurance problems inside one city. A contract research or manufacturing business has exposures an office does not: equipment breakdown and spoilage on material worth more than the building, business income measured by how long it takes to requalify a space rather than clean it, product and professional liability that follows an analysis into someone else's trial, and indemnity language in nearly every agreement with a federal prime or a sponsor.

Downtown is close to the opposite. Older buildings, ordinance and law exposure when a rebuild has to meet current code, liquor liability for the restaurants, and business income tied to being open on the weekends that carry the year.

We do not use one checklist for both. Tell us which Frederick you are in, send us the policy along with the contract or the lease, and we will tell you specifically where the gaps sit.

Equipment, material, and spoilage

In a lab the valuable property is rarely the building. Equipment breakdown and spoilage matter.

Indemnity with primes and sponsors

Agreements around Fort Detrick routinely promise more than the policy behind them covers.

Ordinance and law downtown

Older buildings rebuilt to current code cost more than standard limits assume.

Business income that fits your calendar

Requalifying a lab and missing a peak weekend are different losses. Both get underinsured.
