How we work

What a commercial advisor should actually do.

Your advisor

A named human, not a 1-800 number.

You get one advisor who learns your operation, knows your team, and remembers what happened at the last renewal. Same person at year five as at year one.

Proactive reviews

We call before renewal, not after a problem.

Annual proactive reviews. Quarterly check-ins for fast-growth clients. If you opened a new location, hired your fiftieth employee, or signed a major contract, we want to know before your policy does.

Carrier breadth

Independent access to diverse markets.

We're not tied to one carrier's appetite. Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Hartford, Cincinnati, Chubb, and dozens of other standard and specialty markets, we shop where your risk profile actually fits.

One roof

Commercial, benefits, and personal - coordinated.

Your business coverage, your team's benefits, and your personal insurance can all live under one advisory relationship. No more retelling your story to three different people.

Growing Fast?

Your business grows. Your coverage should keep up.

A broker who just renews your policy is fine, right up until it isn't. When you add a location, a truck, or fifteen employees and nobody updates your coverage. When a renewal comes back 22% higher with no explanation. When a claim lands and you need someone who already knows your operation. That's when a renew-and-forget broker costs you.

You need a named advisor who learns how your business actually runs, anticipates the risks before they find you, and makes sure your coverage evolves as fast as you do. We're independently owned, so your account team doesn't get shuffled after the next private-equity acquisition. The same advisor stays with you as you grow.

Bethesda, Maryland

Bethesda runs on two engines. Both change how you insure.

The first engine is federal and medical. The National Institutes of Health main campus, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences sit within a few blocks of one another, and they anchor a dense ring of private practices, research groups, labs, and contractors that exist to serve them. The second engine is corporate. Marriott International opened a 785,000 square foot global headquarters on Woodmont Avenue in September 2022 with room for more than 2,800 employees, and Lockheed Martin, Host Hotels and Resorts, Clark Construction, and JBG Smith all headquarter here as well.

Both engines push the same problem down to the businesses around them. Somebody else's insurance requirements become yours. If you subcontract to a federal prime or supply a health system, the flow-down provisions in that agreement are usually stricter than anything a landlord would ask for, and they are frequently signed without anyone comparing them to the policy in force. We see the mismatch most often on professional liability limits, on additional insured wording, and on cyber, where a contract asks for coverage the business does not carry at all.

Cyber is the one worth pausing on here. A practice or research group holding patient data is not only a property risk, it is a notification and regulatory one, and that exposure does not sit under a general liability or property policy. It sits under a cyber policy with its own sublimits, its own waiting period, and an application you attested to. That last part is where claims get denied.

Downtown Bethesda office rents averaged $40.04 per square foot in 2025 against a 21.35 percent vacancy rate, which means tenants are moving, expanding, and building out. Every one of those moves is a moment when a certificate lapses or a lease requirement quietly changes. Send us the lease or the contract and we will tell you whether what you carry actually satisfies it.

Contract flow-down provisions

Federal primes and health systems push their requirements onto you. We compare them to the policy you actually have.

Cyber built for patient data

Sublimits, waiting periods, and whether the security controls you attested to are the ones in place.

Professional liability that fits today

Scope changes faster than policies do. We check whether yours still matches the work you do now.

Lease and build-out coverage

Moves and expansions are when certificates lapse and landlord requirements change.
